Greeter
We are seeking dynamic, energetic, organized, self-motivated and conscientious individuals, with excellent interpersonal
and communication skills, to help welcome and provide a meaningful initial experience for visitors and new members to There.
These individuals will also be responsible for supporting several initial experience functions and programs. Must be very
enthusiastic and familiar with the There service.
These are temporary, entry-level positions, and will be paid an hourly wage. The job requires 25-30 hours per week.
Greeters will report to the First Visit Coordinator.
Responsibilities:

Proactively greet, assist and acclimate visitors and new members to the There environment. |

Work with a team of other Greeters to support the volunteers ("Island Guides")
who assist with welcoming new members and promoting/supporting There events and other in-world programming. |
|
|
Support There and member created clubs and programs aimed at supporting and improving the initial member experience. |
|
|
Respond to behavior guideline violations in new member landing zones (you will be trained in abuse management guidelines, processes and tools). |
|
|
Contribute to the definition of product and feature requirements based on experience and visitor/member feedback. |
|
|
Provide regular status reports, to include a summary of key issues, activities, trends, opportunities, etc. |
|
|
Excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills, along with a professional attitude. |
|
|
Proficient user of Windows (XP, Vista). |
|
|
Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. |
|
|
Must be very enthusiastic about and familiar with the There service. Knowledge of the massively-multiplayer online
genre and social networking sites a plus. |
|
|
Previous experience with leading or managing groups of volunteers a plus. |
|
|
Successful experience working as part of Community or support teams a plus. |
